What is 2-seater paragliding?
This is a two-person paragliding with an expert, and it is not dangerous if you follow the safety rules. Pyeongchang Glide Center has a wide takeoff area and a safe landing area without power poles or buildings. All equipment meets safety regulations, and the number assigned to the canopy is a national license (same as a license plate number).
- Nationally certified 2-seater license holder
- Insurance subscriber worth 150 million won
- Pilot accident insurance subscriber
The above three certificates must be reported to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Regional Aviation Office, and an inspection by the Transportation Safety Management Corporation will be conducted every year, with the inspection and report certificates attached to the office.
2-seater flight time
It usually takes about 50 minutes in total, but the waiting time may increase depending on the weather.
- Fill out the application form and follow instructions at the landing office - approximately 5 minutes
- After putting on the flight suit and helmet, go to the takeoff site in the school vehicle — about 25 minutes.
- Airfield preparation for takeoff — approximately 5 to 10 minutes
- Flight time - around 10 minutes (can be extended for an additional fee if the weather is good)
- After landing, a two-seat flight certificate is provided, and photos and videos are provided by email or external hard drive.
Paragliding is an air sport that engages with nature, so flights are conducted only when it is deemed safe to do so depending on natural conditions such as wind and rain.
Directions
Please come to the reception desk at the landing site (next to Pyeongchang Rock Park, 8-3 Jung-ri, Pyeongchang-eup, Pyeongchang-gun) 10 minutes before your reserved time.
What you need
Flight suits are provided, so please wear only light clothing and sneakers. (We also have flight shoes available in case you don't have sneakers.)
