2009 Youth Camp Information

hi? Let’s go! It's Jonathan!
2009
Happy 700 Pyeongchang Paragliding CampHappy 700 Pyeongchang Paragliding Camp
The first youth paragliding camp in 2008

패러글라이딩 캠프가 왜 필요할까?
* Let’s just pick out a few important ones!!!
첫째, 패러글라이딩을 통하여 침착성, 협동심, 자연을 사랑하는 마음, 리더십(Leadership), 인간 존중 및 인간애를 느끼고, 배우는 기회를 가짐
Second, through paragliding, you can understand aviation science and experience the joy of flying safely in the sky.
Would you like to see a letter that an uncle gave to a senior trainee who participated in the first youth camp last year (2008)??? It will be easier to understand then...
Form: Uncle
To: To ○○ who hopes to grow into a ‘cool guy’
The reason why uncle allowed ○○ to participate in paragliding school (camp) this time is because he hopes that ○○ will live a ‘wonderful life’ even when he becomes an adult. Right now, I’m not sure what uncle ○○ really means by the ‘wonderful life’ he’s talking about, but I think I’ll be able to understand his intentions as time passes.
These are just a few things my uncle wants to talk to ○○ about right now.
First, develop the judgment to act calmly without losing composure in any situation.
Second, with the confidence that you can overcome any difficulty, try to be humble the more you achieve something.
Third, become a person who understands the law and order of nature, adapts to it, and can live leisurely.
To summarize these things, it is about cultivating ‘hoyeonjigi (浩然之氣)’ by enjoying to the fullest the nature in a place where mountains and water (山水) = nature (自然).
浩然之氣
(浩 wide lake / 然 such a fate / 之 will go / energy energy)
* This word appears in the first part of 《Mencius》 <Gongsun Chu (公孫丑)> and has the same meaning as “浩氣” (浩氣)
① An upright and unwavering mind based on morality and righteousness
② The wide and large energy that fills the space between heaven and earth.
③ Fair and honest courage without any sense of shame
④ A free mind free from miscellaneous tasks
⑤ Unstoppable, wide spirit (氣槪)
I hope you build good character and make memories through this camp’s ‘flying training’!!
