Kota Kinabalu Gliding Factory Development Report

Visit to the Tourism Office on July 21, 2009
To develop a gliding site near Kinabalu, a famous mountain in Asia.
I visited the Sabah State Tourism Office and met with the people in charge.
Because they were well aware of how to utilize it as a tourist resource, the people in charge of the Sabah State Tourism Office
He said he would provide very active help regarding the need for the development of a flying factory and ways to utilize it.
By speaking to us, you gave our will even more strength.
The next meeting is planned with the Vice Mayor, and the first official meeting has concluded.

View of the landing site and inspection of the landing site
After first checking the landing site situation around 1:40 PM,
I ate lunch a little late at 2pm.
Although there is a lack of food, things to see, and lodging nearby,
I believe that if we prepare slowly, one by one, it will become a flying site with good conditions.
We departed from the landing site at 3:20 PM and headed to the takeoff site for inspection and test flight.
Arrived at 3:40 PM, took a breather, checked the weather, and flew.
City view from the takeoff area

The last flight is around 4:50 PM.
It was done, and everyone landed safely on the landing pad.
We have dinner a little late at 8 PM and check tomorrow's schedule.
Meeting with the Vice Mayor on July 22, 2009

In order to provide more active government support, we met with the deputy mayor of Sabah.
The meeting started around 10:30 a.m. and lasted about an hour.
They were grateful for the large increase in Korean tourists, and the decrease in tourists due to the economic recession.
You promised more active support to attract more Korean tourists.
In particular, you expressed a lot of interest in the aviation sector, a new market.
On July 24, 2009, the Vice Mayor personally visited the gliding factory and made a more detailed plan.
We were promised support and agreed to meet at the flying factory.
2:00 p.m. Glide field for weather check and take-off and landing site inspection

View of the takeoff field from the surrounding area
We lost our hearts. There is still a lack of statistics on the weather and terrain here.
It was necessary to collect and confirm more information, and first of all, to successfully complete the visit on the 24th.
I had to prepare.

The road up is still not easy, but the government has promised more active support.
The roads will also get better.
We arrived at the glide pad at 2pm and started flying.
Finally arrived at the takeoff field
The weather is very good today, with good winds and good heat that make long-distance flights and long flights possible.
It was created and it was expected that competitions for advanced users would also be possible.

It was a day when it could become a glide field where you can enjoy flying, not just sightseeing for two people.
The flight, which lasted until 5:30 PM, was very satisfying.
July 23, 2009 Weather check and test flight
To check flight records and weather conditions and check take-off and landing sites
Today was just a test flight and inspection for the event on the 24th.

Inspection and test flight for tomorrow's event
We checked the takeoff and landing site conditions again.
I just hope the weather is good tomorrow.
