The LM4 is an uncertified lightweight high performance paraglider designed for expert pilots who are on the cutting edge of vol-bivoauc flight. The LM4 is based on the Mantra M4, reconstructed with the modern lightweight techniques that have made Ozone a world leader in lightweight paraglider technology.
The LM4 is a high performance uncertified wing that should only be used by experienced, competent pilots. DO NOT fly this wing unless you have the necessary skills to do so. If you are interested in this paraglider, please read the manual first
The LM4 is intended only for pilots who have extensive experience flying high performance paragliders and are fully comfortable flying an uncertified wing. The LM4 is constructed with materials and techniques that have proven viable over many years of testing and we are happy with the flight characteristics which are similar to the certified version of the M4; however there will be no official flight or load tests for this wing. Pilots flying the LM4 must take full responsibility for flying an Open Class wing.
The Performance:
The original M4 is already enjoying a worldwide reputation as perhaps the highest performance paraglider to be certified EN D. With the same design and line material, the LM4 features the same excellent performance that has made the Mantra M4 so successful in its class. The Mantra M4 was independently reviewed by Thermik Magazine, and measured at 10.2 L/D.
The Comfort:
With R10 style leading edge reinforcement and a pitch stable profile, the LM4 benefits from the same technology that has made the modern Ozone range renowned for stability and comfort. Precise feedback is transmitted to the pilot via its hybrid 3-line system, and the LM4 has a crisp and agile feel in the air. The LM4 is so comfortable that we feel it would be prudent to remind pilots that although this wing may feel very docile in the air, it is still a high performance paraglider and needs to be flown with the full attention that such a wing requires, and with an understanding of how best to recover from incidents in flight.
The Adventure:
The LM4 is the most modern and high performance adventure wing that we have developed, and has been thoroughly tested not only by the Ozone R&D Team but also by Ozone Team Pilots in the RedBull X-Alps 2011. No matter what your plans are, the LM4 has the low weight and high performance that you need while in the mountains – whether you are climbing in thermals or on mountain peaks. The MS size weighs in at 4.77kg, nearly 1kg less than the standard M4 in the same size.

Important:
The LM4 is an uncertified open class wing meant for expert pilots only. If you are not absolutely sure that your abilities are adequate for an
open class performance paraglider, then do not consider this wing. The Alpina, Swift, and Geo ranges offer excellent certified light weight wings from Ozone.
LM4 Trimmer Risers
For highly experienced XC and Competition pilots, we offer “Race Risers” for the LM4. They must be purchased separately from your wing.
>> The trimmers can be used to slow down the wing (2cm of range) in order to improve the climb / sink rate when needed.
>> The trimmers can be used to speed up the wing (6cm of range) when you don’t want to use the speed bar, for comfort on longer glides.
>> The accelerator system range is increased, and is modified for a more efficient influence on the wingtip in order to achieve higher top speed and more sail homogeneity.
>> You can use the trimmers and accelerator in any combination you please.
